Alison Brown

Board of Trustees

Biography

Alison joined the MISD Foundation board in 2023. She is honored to help facilitate access to resources for teachers and students, which will enrich their already stellar MISD academic journeys. She is a proud third-generation MISD graduate (1991).

After living in Vail, Colorado, and Lexington, Kentucky, she fulfilled her familial duty by moving over 250 miles back to Murray for her daughter, Ella (2021 MHS Salutatorian) to continue the MISD tradition! Ella and Alison both enjoyed being a part of MHS’s rich academic community and acclaimed speech team.

Alison is a speech-language pathologist and faculty member at Murray State University in the Center for Communication Disorders. She moved back to Murray in 2013 after living in Lexington, Kentucky, for 16 years, where she worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky, and later as the Director of Academic Services at Sayre School.

She enjoys reading; cooking with her husband, Todd; and spoiling her 17-pound cat, Cedric.
