Judy Tidwell

Board of Trustees

Biography

Committed to the Murray Independent School District’s “Tradition of Excellence,” Judy Tidwell believes that serving on the Foundation board is an opportunity to promote this tradition.  Offering additional resources enables teachers to explore innovative ideas, students to benefit from these practices and from college scholarships, and families to access a quality education for their children.

Having been a classroom teacher and the Director of Special Education, Judy retired from MISD in 2015.  During her tenure in the district, she was Cheerleader Sponsor and Golf Coach.  Her sons, Michael Muehleman (1987) and Jon Muehleman (1989), graduated from Murray High School.  Currently, grandsons Jacob and Sam are attending Murray Middle School.

Volunteering in elementary and middle school classrooms allows Judy to have contact with her grandsons, other students and teachers.  She is currently the Chairperson of the Foundation’s Academic Enrichment Committee (ACE); this committee, through an application process, annually awards Mini-Grants to teachers and staff.  Other interests include travel, golf, reading and knitting.
